Dur Hot Spring
Dur Hot Spring Trek is a popular trekking route in Bhutan that takes you through stunning landscapes and serene hot springs. The trek starts from Bumthang and takes about five days to complete, passing through beautiful forests, small villages, and high mountain passes. The highlight of the trek is the natural hot springs in Dur, where you can relax and soak in the therapeutic waters. The best time to do the Dur Hot Spring Trek in Bhutan is during the spring and autumn months. The months of March to May and September to November offer the most favorable weather conditions with clear skies and comfortable temperatures for trekking
Upon arrival at the Paro International Airport, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel. After check in. Visit Paro Rinpung Dzong, Ta Dzong, and Kyichu Lhakhang.
After breakfast, drive from Paro to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. On the way, you will visit the Tamchog Lhakhang. In Thimphu, visit the National Memorial Chorten, Tashichho Dzong,Buddha Dordenma statue and the National Folk Heritage Museum.
You will start early and drive from Thimphu to Gangtey, a beautiful valley in central Bhutan. On the way, you will stop at the Dochula Pass, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the Himalayan ranges. In Gangtey, you can visit the Gangtey Monastery and explore the beautiful Phobjikha Valley.
After breakfast, you will drive from Gangtey to Trongsa, a scenic town located in central Bhutan. Along the way, you will pass through beautiful forests and valleys, and visit the Chendebji Chorten and Trongsa Dzong. From Trongsa, you will continue driving to Bumthang, a beautiful valley located in Central Bhutan. Explore Bumthang town in the evening at your leisure
You will spend the day sightseeing in Bumthang.Visit Jambay Lhakhang, Tamshing Lhakhang, Kurjey Lhakhang and the Mebar Tsho (burning lake).
You will start your trek from Bumthang to Gorsum. The trek takes around 6 hours and passes through beautiful forests and valleys. Along the way, you will also visit the Tang Rimochen Lhakhang.
You will trek from Gorsum to Lungsum, which is located at an altitude of 3,160 meters. The trek takes around 5 hours and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
You will trek from Lungsum to Tsochenchen, which is located at an altitude of 3,870 meters. The trek takes around 6 hours and offers breathtaking views of the Himalayan ranges.
You will trek from Tsochenchen to Dur Hot Spring, which is located at an altitude of 3,600 meters. The trek takes around 6 hours and passes through beautiful forests and valleys. In the evening, you can relax and soak in the natural hot springs.
You will trek from Dur Hot Spring to Tsochen, which is located at an altitude of 3,870 meters. The trek takes around 6 hours and offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
You will trek from Tsochen to Lungsum, which is located at an altitude of 3,160 meters. The trek takes around 6 hours and offers breathtaking views of the Himalayan ranges.
You will trek from Lungsum to Gorsum, which is located at an altitude of 3,120 meters. The trek takes around 5 hours and offers beautiful views of the surrounding valleys and mountains.
You will trek from Gorsum to Bumthang, which is the end point of the trek. The trek takes around 6 hours and passes through beautiful forests and valleys. Once you reach Bumthang, you can rest and relax at your hotel.
After breakfast, you will drive from Bumthang to Punakha, a beautiful valley located in western Bhutan. Along the way, you will stop at the Yathra Weaving Centre in Chumey, where you can see traditional Bhutanese textiles being made.Once you reach Punakha, evening at your own leisure.Overnight in Punakha
After breakfast, Visit Punakha Dzong, which is one of the most beautiful and historically significant fortresses in Bhutan. You can also take a short hike to Chimi Lhakhang and Wangdue Phodrang Dzong. In the evening drive to Paro, you can check into your hotel and rest for the night.
After breakfast, you can embark on a trek to one of Bhutan’s most iconic landmarks – the Tiger’s Nest (also known as Taktsang Monastery). The hike takes around 5-6 hours roundtrip, and the trail passes through pine forests and offers stunning views of the Paro Valley.The Tiger’s Nest Monastery is located on a cliff at an altitude of 3,120 meters. Evening farewell dinner at farm house.
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Paro International Airport for your flight back home. This marks the end of your 17-day Bumthang Dur Hot Spring Trek in Bhutan.
